A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety. ~Ansel Adams

Brandon and Maci- Married

What I have seen recently is a growing trend in the backyard wedding.  I LOVE IT!!  This was an amazing home that had all the charm and character that made for an incredibly beautiful day.  The Cape Cod setting made it feel like different place.  I loved so many things about the day.  The details were amazing.  One of my favorite details was the pockets in Maci’s wedding dress.  POCKETS!!!!  What a great dress!  The bridesmaid dresses had them too.   I actually loved the whole wardrobe –the guys suits were awesome!!   After I worked past my obsession with the wardrobe I fell in love with many other details…the garden shed, the cake pops, the greenery everywhere, the old car, the oversized balloons…I could go on and on.  Take a peek at a few pictures I selected.   More to come!

Jen and Tad Engaged

Jen and Tad are getting married in May of 2011.  I had the opportunity to hang out with them in the beautiful Grass Valley.  What an amazing place for an engagement session.    We shot for a few hours and I could have went on and on!!  They are so fun to work with and up for anything.  Here are just a few of my favorite shots.

Pismo Beach Photography

The beach….ahhh, gotta love it :)!  I had a blast doing a beach shoot last weekend at Pismo Brach.  Thanks for setting it all up Sandy.   I have known Sandy, the grandmother of these kidos for a few years.  The first time I met her she beamed with love for her family.  Every time she  talks about them you can just feel the love she has for each of her family members.   Here are a few shots of her awesome grandchildren.  What a great looking group!

Sacramento Wedding- Deanna and Tim

How do I begin to pick a few!!  Deanna and Tim gave me tons of time…which means lots of portraits to pick from.  First they did the first glance, this is a fun way to see each other before the wedding.  I always encourage my brides to do this if they want to spend time on pictures.  So worth it!   The wedding was magical and fun!

I have known Deanna for years, she even baby sat for me when my little Emilie was first born.  Deanna’s family is very dear to me and I felt so blessed to be a part of the wedding day.

As you can see this wedding was FUN!!  From the beginning till the end.  Every detail was so well planned that Deanna truly just enjoyed every second of it.  I loved that they liked to be goofy…added tons of personality to the very special day.

Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your day!  I loved capturing your amazing wedding.  Can’t wait to show you more…like, jumping on the trampoline and sitting on the swinging bench.  For now…just a few 🙂

Grandma had moves!!  She danced all night with the much younger generations.  I thought she was amazing.  I hope I have half as much energy when I am her age!!

Eldorado Hills Senior Portraits- Nicole

Nicole was awesome to work with!!  She felt a bit shy at first in front of the camera, but as you can tell she is incredibly gorgeous and rocked the session!!  I loved listening to her mom coach her and help her with her hair…reminded me of myself with my daughter.   They had an awesome relationship!!  Here are just a few of my quick favorites, enjoy!!
