Today I went downtown with a good friend from Portland, Oregon to capture her boys – twins, of course 🙂 Love these boys…they are all boy! I learned quickly that if I used words that were not appropriate they would smile – that was a trick from mom. I am embarrassed to stoop to these levels! (Don’t worry, the words aren’t that bad.) Just boy talk!! When that wasn’t working anymore they said they needed candy to smile…well a photographer’s gotta do what a photographer’s gotta do. Salt water taffy here I come! We hit the candy store for a treat and they were back at it in no time at all!! Had a blast hanging with the boys and their amazing momma!! Thanks again Rachel!
Had so much fun photographing the O’Connell Family last night. First Grandchild…watch out!! Brinkley is so cute and had no shortage of bows and accessories. Love it when babies are all dolled up. I have had the opportunity to photograph Brinkley since birth, actually since she was in the tummy. I feel so honored when I get to document the first year of a babies life. Love to watch them grow.  Here are a few teasers. I just can’t wait for you to see them all!!

WOW!! I couldn’t wait to sit and blog about my week. I had the very best time at the portrait and wedding photography convention in Las Vegas. It was amazing. I don’t want to bore you but I still have to give you the play-by-play.
I arrived Sunday night after a very long drive with two of my photography friends — Gail and Adale. (Thanks for the drive ladies!!) I was so tired but the second I walked through the doors I was rejuvenated and excited. 14,000 plus photographers in one spot…WOW!!! We stayed at the MGM Hotel. It was huge and I can’t count how many times I got lost. The first night was just laid back and settling into what was to come.
On Monday right away I jumped into a few seminars. I had the opportunity to listen and learn from so many leaders in the industry like Kevin Kubota, Jim Garner, Jasmine Star, and way too many more to list. I had a day full of trade show, seminars and information. My brain was beginning to hurt! Of course I couldn’t wait to hear more.
Then the amazing part happened! I met Jody and Zach Gray. A friend, Charleton, introduced us and it changed the path my week was taking. Jody and Zach are incredible wedding photographers that have a passion for mentoring other photographers. Better than that, they have a passion for Christian photographers. They asked me and a friend if we would like to join them in there suite for a small gathering of photographers. Opportunity of a lifetime! What an experience. I was able to hang out casually with a few of the leaders in our industry…feeling blessed and on cloud nine for the opportunity. Photographers I have only dreamed of meeting were now with me in the same room. Even better they invited us to join a group of over 100 photographers in the morning to have a “mini” church in one of the conference rooms. Are you even serious!!! They set up a time of worship and prayer over our industry. Then we were divided into groups by regions of the country to talk and pray… WOW!!! I got put with Mike Larsen!!! His work is amazing! He told us a ton about himself and showed an amazing amount of business character. I left so inspired and on fire for what I do and how God is working in this industry. Incredible! I couldn’t believe that I was getting the opportunity to chit-chat and hang out with the “superstars” of photography! God was good and I was blessed. I am so inspired about what I do and am looking forward to watching my business take off this year. I have so many amazing brides that I already feel like are great friends! I love what I do and feel blessed to have all your support!!!
Blessed week with new friendships and new ides!
